Urus, Ishinca, Tocllaraju and Huascaran Ascents
The Cordillera Blanca forms part of the Cordillera de los Andes and is located in Peru in the department of Ancash. This tropical mountain range offers beautiful and great objectives for the practice of mountaineering. Among others, the Cordillera blanca possesses the Huascaran (6768 m alt), the highest mountain in Peru.
We will start by acclimatizing with ascents that gradually increase in height and difficulty: The Urus (5495m), Ishinca (5530m), Tocllaraju (6034m). These ascents will constitute a good base to reach and to achieve the main objective of our trip, the ceiling of Peru: the Huascaran with its 6768 meters of height. This giant has two peaks, the North with 6659 m alt and the South with 6768 m alt.
